2009 Race Details
We have finally dried out from last year and are back for the third year of the Kilbroney Challenge. The date of this year’s race is Saturday 20th June 2009 and the start location is, once again, Carlingford Lough Yacht Club, Killowen Point, Rostrevor, Co Down, BT34 3AN – (http://www.multimap.com/maps/?hloc=GBBT34%203AN#t=l&map=54.07505,-6.18362164&loc=GB:54.07505:-6.18362:16bt343anBT343AN)
This year’s race will see some of last years route used again, some new stuff, some of last year’s route done away with and some new scenery as we expand the race into the Mountains around Rostrevor! More on that at a later date.
We are limited to 50 teams this year.
Once again the Kilbroney Challenge is to be included in the Causeway Coast Adventure Race series (http://www.causewaycoastar.co.uk/). This is a great series of races aimed at all adventure racers and I would suggest that anyone wishing to take part in one get their entry in early as places for these races fill up very fast. If anyone has any queries regarding the races organised by Causeway Coast AR please feel free to contact Ivan Park at ivan@causewaycoastar.co.uk
Until the next update enjoy your training and we hope to see everyone back in Rostrevor for 2009.
